SINGLE is a relatable, anti-romantic comedy that delivers an entertaining and insightful examination of human connection that also challenges preconceived notions of life with a disability.
This project was produced as part of AFI's Directing Workshop for Women. The film features two lead actors with physical disabilities and received the Special Jury Recognition Award for the SXSW Film Festival 2020. Single has played at over 40 film festivals and won 8 awards with 3 nominations.
Single also won the NYWIFT Loreen Arbus Disability Awareness grant, which included captions and audio description provided by Michele Spitz from Woman of Her Word, which allowed the film to be fully accessible for all audiences.
In 2020 SINGLE partnered with SXSW, Mailchimp and O-scope to stream on their platform.
Currently, SINGLE can only be seen via private link. [Audio Described version available upon request].
